It all started when one boy was engrossed into the world of computers…….
My name is Donald Moniger, and my experience in the field of computers began in the 4th grade. All throughout elementary school I started piecing together the basics of computers, from how they worked to how to run the most basic programs. By the time I left elementary school I was confident enough to navigate throughout the computer even changing settings most people are not aware of.
As I moved into middle school, I started to learn the designing aspect of computers through the Mac’s iMovie, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator for the PC. I created art and videos that were beyond what I originally deemed possible. My teachers were also pleased of all I could accomplish. High school immersed me more into the programming side of computers. I started working and creating programs in Java and delving more into HTML then I had previously learned, thanks to my experience since an early age. I created basic programs that ran on the PC and then dipped into the app development field for the iPhone and Android.
Graduating from John I Leonard High School I plan on pursuing a field in computers. I have not decided where I will go after getting my AA transfer degree from Palm Beach State College but I know it will always be in the computer field.
Throughout my computer education I have gained so much knowledge and skills. I am certified in Office 2007, and Adobe Photoshop and Flash in both CS4 and CS5. I am also proficient in Maya, Java, HTML, C++, C#, and Objective.
I have known Mr. Thomas since I was in 6th grade as that wacky science teacher with the awesome science club. I remember growing mosquitos and learning about centrifugal force. When I was asked to join the Road Warriors as the IT Specialist you better believe I would help out the cause. So here I am, making sure that the site runs constantly and that the Road Warriors are known around the world. So get ready to see the Road Warriors shine!!!
